Parrot, Toucan and Cockatoo

$9.00

Pattern has all 3 kinds of birds

finished sizes: parrot and cockatoo - 16” long, toucan - 18” long

Paper pattern pieces: 15

These birds make striking hanging decorations in any room. They are especially effective in satin, but satin must be lined since it ravels so easily. If you use a more stable material, you can eliminate the lining and facings. You could even use scraps of coordinating fabrics. They can be made all one color, or each piece can be a different color or any combination in between. Make them to simulate natural markings, or match them to the color scheme of your room. The cockatoo has real feathers for its crown. The toucan pattern includes appliques for markings. If you want a parrot with a colored breast, it's alright to put the parrot beak on the toucan body, or vice-versa. There are countless variations.
